MIXED MEDIA

A rotoscoping study built at the intersection of digital and analogue craft. Working from Jennie's Ruby (Official Album Sampler), each frame was manually traced with markers, scratched with a knife, and layered with paper cutouts to build physical depth and distortion.

The analogue frames were then scanned and composited in Photoshop and After Effects, where digital elements lyrics, title cards, and a phone camera UI overlay were woven into the footage. A deliberate push and pull between the handmade and the digital.
